Sunday Snapshot (Thanksgiving)

We host Thanksgiving every year and we usually have a big crowd. This year there was 30 of us!

My husband is worse than the kids when it comes to spills, just look at his shirt!

With my oldest who turns 21 today! We celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving since the whole family was together.

I can't believe my baby is 21!

We even do manicures on Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to share pictures of the turkey cupcakes I made for the kids.

 

First I made the cupcakes, one large and one smaller. I used fruit roll ups cut in teardrop shapes to make the wattle.

Then I placed it over the candy corn, to make the beak

I used Anna's scalloped cookies and placed frosting on than the candy corn on top

I found these Wilton candy eyeballs at Target

I mixed chocolate frosting with some vanilla frosting so it wouldn't be too dark, then I rolled the edge of the bigger cupcake in chocolate jimmies and I dipped the top edge of the mini cupcake in the jimmies.

I gently pushed the scalloped cookie into the cupcake and put a small, not mini, marshmallow behind it so it wouldn't fall, and then placed the small cupcake on and stuck a toothpick in so it wouldn't fall off. I put them in the fridg and than removed the toothpick before I brought them out for the kids.

They were a hit, everyone loved them!
